    Save your old charts

Anne Minder (our STEM Chair) wants to give a chart to each of the students who attend the TAA STEM event on 29 March.  Drop your outdated charts (TACs and Sectionals) in the mailbox on Hangar 2715L in the East T-Hangars.  One of the STEM segments will be plotting a route on the map and this will give them something to take home.

This is a test DAF web site hosted by Kelvin. It is under active development. Do not use this for anything except to enjoy the experience!

The real DAF web site is at https://delamoflyers.org

Twenty two DAFers gathered at Think Café in September to enjoy the camaraderie of other aviation enthusiasts, a good meal, and to hear our own Rhon Williams share his program on the ‘Application of Weather Forecast Tools for a Winter Cross-Country Flight’.  He shared details of a last winter flight plan and how he used several helpful weather forecast tools to paint multifaceted views of the forecasts and choose best routes and timeframes for his travels.   Attendees also received Wings credit!

With our October Fly-in to Albuquerque for the Balloon Festival, we can try out some of the weather tools to help us on our way.

Thanks to all of you who attended our event.
